Navigating career grant programs

If you're an early career investigator, you might be considering applying for a career development grant. These grants not only look at your research project but also at you and your potential. ORDE offered a couple of seminars last month looking at the NIH K programs and the NSF CAREER programs, specifically. In case you missed them, below are links to the edited videos.

Description: During this working seminar, you will learn about the NIH’s K award grant programs, as well as strategies for approaching these unique grants. You will learn tactics and experiences from past K awardees and have an opportunity to get feedback on your K plan from your peers and awardees.

Description: During this seminar, you will learn about the NSF CAREER program and the NIH mentored-K programs, as well as strategies for approaching these unique grants. You will learn tactics and experiences from a past K and CAREER awardee. 

ORDE also has an e-book outlining funding sources for new investigators. This book can be a good place to begin exploring what career-type programs might be best for you.
